šŸ’„ It starts with clarity

If you don’t define the gap, you can’t close it.
The gap is the target it’s the space between where you are and where you must go.

And if your team isn’t aligned behind one clear number, you’re not progressing… you’re maintaining.
And in business, maintenance is just a slower form of losing.

That’s why we built Kickbite Targets so every team, every campaign, and every decision is guided by one shared goal.

🧭 What is Kickbite Targets?

Kickbite Targets is your central place for defining, managing, and tracking key performance indicators across markets and timeframes.

It gives your team clarity and control with:

  • Monthly KPI setting

  • Daily target distribution for precision planning

  • Automated calculations for explanatory KPIs

  • Real-time status tracking in performance dashboards

šŸ“ Where to Find It

You can access Targets in your Kickbite workspace:
Settings → Account Targets

šŸ“… 1. Account Targets (Monthly Planning)

The Account Targets section is where Admins define and manage monthly performance goals per market.

Editable KPIs

You can directly enter values for the following KPIs:

  • Revenue ex VAT

  • Marketing Costs

  • Average Order Value (AOV)

  • Conversion Rate (CVR)

  • % of New Orders

These are your input KPIs.

Automatically Calculated KPIs

Kickbite automatically calculates several explanatory KPIs based on your inputs:

Stored in database:

  • Orders

  • Sessions

  • New Orders

  • Returning Orders

Calculated dynamically in dashboards (not stored):

  • ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

  • CPO (Cost per Order)

  • CPS (Cost per Session)

  • CAC (Cost of Acquisition)

You can toggle between years (2024, 2025, 2026) and define targets per market (e.g., DE, NL). Each market has its own set of KPIs and history.

Saving & Publishing

  • Autosave Drafts: Any change is saved automatically after a short delay.

  • Publish: Once finalized, click ā€œPublish Targetsā€ to lock in values and activate tracking in your dashboards.

Once published, the month’s status updates to Published, and hovering will show a timestamp and who published the targets.

šŸ“† 2. Daily Distribution (For Peak Performance Planning)

Daily Distribution is an optional, powerful feature that helps you break monthly targets into daily goals. This is especially useful for periods with major performance spikes—such as Black Friday.

Real-World Example: Why It Matters

During Black Week, many businesses see up to 30% of their annual sales. If your monthly goals are split evenly across the month, you risk underestimating the days that matter most.

With Daily Distribution, you can front-load your targets for key periods—ensuring your campaigns, budget, and team are all aligned on when and where the biggest opportunities lie.

How to Use Daily Distribution

  1. In the Account Targets table, click the calendar icon next to the month you want to edit.

  2. The Daily Distribution drawer opens.

  3. Enter Revenue ex VAT values per day.

  4. Kickbite automatically:

    • Calculates daily % distribution

    • Applies this % to all absolute KPIs (Marketing Costs, Orders, Sessions, New/Returning Orders)

  5. Derived KPIs (AOV, CVR, ROAS, etc.) are recalculated in real-time dashboards based on your new daily data.

Reset to Default

Want to go back to a flat, even distribution?
Click "Reset Distribution" to divide your monthly revenue evenly across all days in the month.

Publishing Daily Targets

Once you’re happy with your daily setup:

  • Click ā€œSaveā€

  • The system calculates all necessary KPI values

  • The drawer closes and the Daily Distribution button becomes active

Daily distribution can be updated at any time, and changes automatically reflect in performance reporting.
