What is Market Configuration?
Markets define how Kickbite splits your traffic and orders by geography or region. If you sell in multiple countries (e.g., Germany, Austria, International), each gets its own market so you can see attribution data separately.
How to Configure Your Markets
In the Connect Backend/Shopsystem step of the wizard, you'll see a table where you define your markets.
For each market, you need to provide:
Market Name — An identifier up to 3 letters. You can use an ISO country code (DE, US, UK) or a custom region name (DCH, INT, EU)
Domain/Subdomain URL — The URL pattern that identifies traffic for this market (e.g.,
yourshop.com/de)Currency — The currency you want to see revenue in for this market. Kickbite auto-converts from your backend currency using daily Forex exchange rates
Timezone — The timezone in which your backend processes orders for this market
The Default Market
One market must be set as the default market. This acts as a safety net — any traffic or orders that don't match another market's URL pattern will automatically go here.
Tip: You won't lose any data even if you miss a URL pattern. The default market catches everything that isn't explicitly assigned.
Multiple URLs per Market
If multiple URL patterns belong to the same market, simply add a new row with the same market name. Each row is either a new market or an additional URL for an existing one.
Example:

In this example, both /de and /de-ch traffic goes to the DE market, while the main .com domain goes to the INT market.
Important: Currency Rules
All domains within a single market must share the same currency. For example, if you combine DE, AT, and CH into a "DCH" market, you need to pick one currency (e.g., EUR) for all three — you can't have EUR for DE and CHF for CH within the same market.
Important: Changing your market setup after onboarding requires full data reprocessing, which can take hours to days depending on data volume. Try to get it right the first time.
