1. What the Program Is
Kickbite's referral program lets existing Kickbite customers ("Referrer") introduce businesses that are not yet Kickbite customers ("Referee") to us. If an introduction results in a paid Kickbite subscription, the Referrer can qualify for a one-off cash reward ("Reward") on the terms set out below.
Taking part in the program does not create an employment, brokerage, agency, or commercial representation relationship — neither between the Referrer and Kickbite, nor between the Referrer and the Referee.
2. How a Referral Qualifies
A referral qualifies for a Reward only when all of the following are true:
The Referrer submitted the Referee through their personal Kickbite referral link or through an email to [email protected] before Kickbite had any active sales contact with that Referee.
The Referee had no prior contractual or commercial relationship with Kickbite, and was not already an open opportunity in Kickbite's CRM at the time of submission.
A paid subscription agreement is concluded between Kickbite and the Referee within 90 days of the referral being submitted.
The Referee pays the first invoice in full, and does not withdraw, cancel, or obtain a refund during the first billing cycle.
Where two or more people refer the same Referee, the first valid submission received by Kickbite is the one that counts.
Kickbite decides independently whether and on what terms to contract with any Referee. There is no obligation to enter into an agreement with a Referee, and no claim to a Reward or to reimbursement of any costs arises if no agreement is concluded — whatever the reason.
3. The Reward
Amount. The Reward equals the first monthly subscription fee actually paid by the Referee, net of VAT, capped at €7000 per referral.
Annual and multi-month plans. Where the Referee subscribes on an annual or multi-month basis, the Reward is calculated on the equivalent monthly rate — the total contract value divided by the number of months covered.
One Reward per Referee. Only the first paid billing cycle counts. Subsequent payments, renewals, upgrades, or expansions by the same Referee do not generate further Rewards.
Excluded from the calculation: onboarding and setup fees, professional services, usage-based overages, and any amounts credited rather than paid.
4. Payment
Rewards are paid by PayPal to an account held by a private individual. Kickbite does not pay Rewards to company accounts under this program (see Section 5).
Payment is normally made in the calendar month following the Referee's qualifying payment.
The Referrer is responsible for providing correct payment details. Kickbite is not liable for payments that fail or go to the wrong recipient because the details supplied were wrong, and is not responsible for delays, holds, or account reviews imposed by PayPal or any other payment provider.
If the Referee cancels, downgrades, exercises a right of withdrawal, receives a refund, or fails to pay during the first billing cycle, Kickbite may withhold a Reward that has not yet been paid, or reclaim one that has.
Kickbite may verify the eligibility of both the Referrer and the Referee before paying a Reward, and may reject, revoke, or reclaim Rewards where there is abuse, self-referral, manipulation, or fraud.
5. Who Can Take Part
To participate, the Referrer must be an individual with an existing paid Kickbite subscription (or be authorised to act for the customer holding it), and must confirm that they:
are not an employee, contractor, or agent of Kickbite;
are not an employee, contractor, representative, or service provider of the Referee;
have no other professional or business relationship with the Referee that would make a Reward inappropriate — for example acting on the Referee's behalf, providing services to them, or being paid by them;
are referring in a personal capacity and in good faith, not as a business or as part of systematic promotional activity.
Agencies and partners. If the Referrer works for an agency or partner organisation that has a commercial relationship with Kickbite, referrals made in that professional context fall under Kickbite's Partner Program rather than this one. Contact [email protected] to confirm which applies. The same referral cannot be claimed under both programs.
Use of the referral link. The referral link is personal and non-transferable. It must not be shared with or redistributed by third parties, and must not be posted on coupon sites, deal aggregators, cashback platforms, or comparable mass-promotion channels.
Conduct. The Referrer must not make false or misleading claims about Kickbite, its product, or its pricing, and must not breach any legal, contractual, or ethical obligation through participation — including obligations owed to their own employer.
6. Data Protection
To process a referral, Kickbite needs the Referee's name, business email address, and company name. The Referrer must have a lawful basis for passing on these details and must inform the Referee that their contact details have been shared with Kickbite for the purpose of being contacted about our product.
Kickbite processes this data to evaluate and administer the referral and to contact the Referee. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
The Referrer's own data — including PayPal details — is processed to verify eligibility and make payment, and is retained for as long as statutory record-keeping obligations require.
7. Changes and General Provisions
Kickbite may amend, suspend, or end the program at any time. Changes take effect for referrals submitted after the change is published; referrals already submitted and qualifying are honoured under the terms in force when they were submitted.
Claims under this program cannot be transferred or assigned.
Kickbite is not obliged to disclose details of its contractual relationship with a Referee.
Where a third party is involved in operating the program or delivering Rewards, that party's terms apply in addition to these Terms, and are subordinate to them.
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.

8. Tax
Rewards under this program are personal income for the recipient and may be taxable where the Referrer is resident. Kickbite does not withhold, remit, or report tax on a Referrer's behalf, and does not issue tax certificates. Referrers should keep their own records — payout confirmations and PayPal receipts — for their own tax filings.
Referrers who are tax resident outside Germany are subject to their own local rules and should check them with their tax authority.
Participation is intended for occasional personal referrals. Anyone referring on a recurring or systematic basis may trigger business registration, VAT, or trade tax obligations, and should contact Kickbite in advance to agree a separate commercial arrangement.
