Sometimes you add a new ads account, replace an old one, or re-link after access changes. Spend and campaigns will not show in Kickbite until the account is connected with the right IDs and permissions.
Add or replace an account after go-live
Grant Kickbite (or your Kickbite contact) access to the Google Ads or Microsoft Ads account as required for your setup.
In Kickbite, open Connect data sources and link the account with the correct account identifiers.
Confirm the account is tied to the right Kickbite market(s) if you run multi-market.
Replacing an account is not only “turn the new ads on.” Kickbite must be linked to the new account IDs, or spend and campaign data will not land.
Microsoft Ads: use the aid from the browser URL
For Microsoft Ads, use the aid from the browser URL (for example aid=48108678), not the ID shown in parts of the Microsoft UI. Using the wrong ID is a common reason spend stays at zero.
Spend shows 0 — checklist
Link missing or wrong account — is the account connected in Kickbite at all?
Wrong market mapping — is spend landing under a different market than the one you are viewing?
Tracking template — are clicks mapping into Kickbite channels? Spend can still pull via API while sessions are mis-tagged, so check both.
API lag — wait for a complete Kickbite day after linking before treating zeros as permanent.
How to confirm costs
Open Paid Ads or Marketing Performance for the market.
Pick a day with known live spend in the ad platform.
Compare that complete day in the ads UI against Kickbite.
