How Kickbite assigns marketing costs to markets

How Kickbite attributes ad spend to your markets, and how to name campaigns

Written by Juan Garzon

Kickbite adds ad accounts without converting currency per market. Make sure the account currency matches the market's currency.

How does Kickbite attribute costs to markets?

Whether costs apply to one market or all markets, Kickbite distributes them using this logic:

  1. Landing page URL: Kickbite checks the campaign's landing page. If it points to a market's domain, costs are attributed to that market.

  2. Campaign name: For campaigns without a fixed landing page (e.g., Performance Max or Smart+), Kickbite falls back to the campaign name. Add your market identifier to the beginning or end of the campaign name.

Example — Market identifier: NL → Campaign name: NL-PMax-Heroes or PMax-Heroes-NL

  3. Default market: If there's no market identifier and no landing page URL matching a market, all costs are attributed to the default market. Each ad account can be linked to its own default market. If you have a clean setup of one ad account per market, you don't need market identifiers in campaign names.
